Camping Sass Dlacia - Armentara

From the campsite, cross the main road and take the dirt track no. 11 in the direction of San Cassiano. After crossing the village of San Cassiano, continue downhill to the bridge on the main road 'Punt de Altin'. Passing under the bridge, you cycle along the Gadera River until you reach the village of Badia. Along this path you pass a riding school, where you can admire the horses. We then arrive at the 'Badia Pub', passing behind the building we find the first climb, short but intense. We arrive at the start of the "Sass Dla Crusc" ski lift. From here we follow the asphalted road, passing through the centre of San Leonardo we follow the signs for "Valgiarëi". At this point a short stretch of dirt road begins. Passing through the locality of "Arciara" we arrive at the locality of "Furnacia", from which we turn right. After passing the car park, the most exciting part of the route begins. At first, we pass close to a rock face, and then we can admire the view of the majestic Sasso Santa Croce massif. We then cycle through the famous Armentara meadows (Possibility of making a small detour and having a break at the "Ranch de Andrè" for refreshment). We thus continue in the direction of the Santa Croce sanctuary, passing several panoramic points.

We then come to a crossroad, at which we must continue straight ahead on path 15A (if we continued to the left, we would come to a point where we have to carry our bikes, so it is to be avoided). We thus arrive at the Santa Croce sanctuary, from where there is a breathtaking view of the majestic surrounding mountains. We continue towards San Cassiano on path no. 15. In the first section it is on a narrow, uneven path (several roots and stones); in the second section it widens out and becomes easier. When we reach the locality "Rüdeferia" we continue on the asphalted road until we reach the village of San Cassiano. At this point we can choose whether to return to the campsite on the main road or on path no. 11 as on the way up.
